The election results for next year’s Students’ Union leadership have been announced.
After 2 weeks of campus-wide campaigning and 6,979 votes being cast the winner’s were revealed to a packed crowd at SU’s Foundry venue.
The holders of all the SU’s thirteen roles, a mixture of full-time and part-time, for the 2024/25 academic year are as follows:
Full-time:
President: Daisy Watson (She/Her)
Education Officer: Maria Moreno (She/They)
Liberation Officer: Tomas Rocha (He/Him)
Wellbeing & Sports Officer: Annie Henderson (She/Her)
Activities & Development Officer: Anna Campbell (She/Her)
Welfare & Sustainability Officer: Nadya Ghani (She/Her)
International & Community Officer: Jephthah Ekogiawe (He/Him)
Part-time:
BAME Officer: Kiara Delgado (She/Her)
Disabled Students Officer: Nick Michau (He/Him)
LGBT+ Students Officer: Anmol Dubey (He/Him)
Mature Students Officer: Benito Hart Prieto (He/Him)
Women Students Officer: Eloise Taylor (She/Her)
The Postgraduates’ Students Officer is the sixth part-time leadership role, and is elected during September-October 2024.
Alongside this, next year’s two student trustees were also elected: Louis Powell (He/They) and Caitlin Hardy (She/Her).
Full-time Officers will receive a salary of £22,291, whereas part-time Officers will receive £3,713.13 for the year.
The Postgraduates’ Students Officer is the sixth part-time role, and is elected during September-October 2024.
