Candidates announced for 2025 Students’ Union Elections

Candidates have been announced for this years Sheffield Students’ Union Elections.

46 candidates are running across six full-time officer roles, with some new roles as a result of restructuring in the Students’ Union.

There are also three candidates for the volunteer position of student trustee, with two set to be elected following voting this week.

The SU President, Education Officer and Wellbeing & Sport roles are remaining from previous years, while there are three roles with new responsibilities.

The new roles are: Liberation & Activities Officer, Sustainability & Development Officer and  International & Welfare Officer.

In a change to previous years, there are no part-time officer elections as these roles have been retired and changed to appointed liberation facilitators.
