The Leadmill Comedy Club will mark it’s 10 year anniversary next month when it returns on 2nd November.
Since 2012, The Leadmill Comedy Club has given comedy fans a chance to catch the next big thing, and an opportunity for budding new comedians to make a name for themselves on the famous Leadmill stage.
The Comedy Club occurs on the 1st Wednesday of each month and hosts a night of outstanding comedians, mouth-watering food, and belly-busting laughter. Many household names in comedy have graced the club, including James Acaster, Troy Hawke and Joe Lycett, who voiced his support for the #wecantloseleadmill campaign at his show earlier this year.
Next month’s 10th anniversary show will be an evening of funny sets, fantastic food and some of the UK’s favourite rising stars on the circuit: Dana Alexander (as seen on Russell Howard’s Good News), Dean Coughlin, Peter Brush and award-winning comedian Nina Gilligan.
Sheffield based veggie and vegan street food company Icarus & Apollo will also be there on the night for hungry punters.
As well as the comedy club, The Leadmill plays host to touring comedians. Just this year the likes of Jon Richardson, Eddie Izzard and Reginald D Hunter have taken to the stage. Coming up, they have the fantastic Maisie Adam, David O’Doherty and Chris McCausland to name just a few, as well as sold out shows with Tom Allen and Mike Wozniak.
Other notable acts who have taken to the comedy club stage over the past 10 years include: Sara Pascoe, Sindhu Vee, Nish Kumar, Adam Hills, Simon Amstell, Ross Noble, Russell Kane, Paul Sinha, Iain Stirling, Rob Delaney, Rachel Parris, Jamali Maddix, James Acaster, Jason Manford, Shaparak Khorsandi and Josie Long.
The 2nd of November show is sure to be a special one, celebrating all that is great about comedy – and it’s decade at The Leadmill!
