The recently announced U.K. Tour of Heathers the Musical has confirmed that Sheffield will be a tour stop later this year. Taking to Instagram earlier today to announce the news, the official Heathers Instagram page showed Veronica’s Diary with the caption: “Things that are overdue: ☝️ The asteroid ✌️ Us announcing our first tour venues!”
Set to begin at the Theatre Royal Windsor as previously announced, nine additional tour stops have been revealed, including at Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre from October 1st to October 5th 2024. Following Windsor, the Heathers company will be heading to Bath, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Newcastle, Milton Keynes and Chester before their run with us, and heading to Stockton and Torquay after visiting the Steel City.
It has been only three weeks since Heathers announced their upcoming U.K. tour, following their multiple successful tours and run at The Other Palace in the West End. As one of the most popular modern musicals, particularly amongst young musical theatre fans, it is likely that the 60,000 students in Sheffield will be particularly eager, with many already sharing their excitement on social media at the news.
With the U.K. tour already promising more venues to come, anticipation is already building for when Sheffield is returned to “September 1st, 1989”!
The third U.K. tour of Heathers the Musical will open on July 24th at the Theatre Royal Windsor, & playing in Sheffield from October 1st to 5th 2024. Tickets for the Sheffield run will be available from March 23rd. For further updates, see @heathersmusical on Instagram
