Sheffield Xmas Market 2024

The 2024 Sheffield Christmas Markets will commence once again on the 14th of November, bringing back favourites like the Yorkshire pudding wrap and introducing new delights and delicacies.

With over 60 cabins this year, there is something for everyone.

The market will feature the return of iconic stalls like Sheffield Candle Company and Luke Hauton’s artwork, as well as beloved food items such as toasted marshmallows. New offerings include a fruit crumble stall and a chocolate champagne bar.

Students can immerse themselves in the Sheffield community with over 80% of stalls belonging to local traders and independent companies, providing the perfect opportunity for some Christmas shopping.

Market manager Julie Wilson said: “It would be nice for students to take some of Sheffield home for Christmas”

Mrs Wilson also assured that there will be a number of food and drink options for gluten-free, halal, lactose-intolerant and numerous other dietary requirements so everyone can take part in the magic.

She continued: “traders are to display gluten-free more, likewise with any other food intolerance.

We want to try make it more obvious this year”

This market is owned and operated by a local family.

In collaboration with her colleague Mr. Williams and his son, Mrs. Wilson and her daughter founded the company.

The iconic double-decker bar, constructed by young Williams during the pandemic, is a centrepiece of the independently run market.

Sheffield’s Christmas Market is the perfect place to escape from studying and connect with the community while supporting local businesses.
