Sport Sheffield to reopen in August but not without big changes

Sport Sheffield has announced that it will begin a phased reopening from early august and all activities will need to be booked in advance.
In an email to students, the university-owned sports centre stated that it will begin the process from 3 August.
Sport Sheffield urged students to ensure that their online booking accounts are correctly registered as anyone who wants to use the centre’s facilities will need to pre-book so that the staff can ensure social distancing rules are followed.
Facilities that were previously not restricted to a booking system, like the gym and swimming pool, are included and will need to be pre-booked.
After the government’s latest lockdown-relaxing changes, sports facilities will be allowed to open in England from 25 July, but masks are not compulsory for the time being.
Despite this, it is up to individual sports centres to decide if they will require guests to wear face masks.
Sport Sheffield said they would share more information on their reopening over the coming days.
