Annie Henderson has now been elected as Wellbeing and Sports Officer for the academic year 2023-2024.
At the results night, Annie said: “I really wasn’t expecting that! Well done to all the other candidates, I didn’t know which way it was going to go at all.
“I just want to make sport more accessible and inclusive for everyone at university, and welcome everyone to the Black and Gold community.”
Having worked with Iwan this year, she plans to fulfil their 5 year development plan, decrease gym membership, reinstate women sessions in gyms, boost inclusivity by continuing to run LGBTQ+ and trans swimming sessions.
On the wellbeing side, she believes that sport has a big impact on wellbeing. She aims to introduce a weekly Wednesday afternoon break, to encourage students to take part in sports and enjoy a well earned break from their studies.
