Festival-goers appear to have been given an early hint at the Tramlines 2020 line-up with postcards sent out a day ahead of the line-up’s official release.
In the past two weeks the festival, which is set to return to Hillsborough Park later this summer, has been using social media to tease the upcoming line-up announcement, as well as telling people to sign up for a potential surprise – which appears to have arrived in the form of these postcards.
At least three different postcards have been sent out, with the front hinting that the headliners could be former Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown, Catfish and the Bottlemen, and London ska band Madness.
On the reverse of the card, there are a number of clues to further acts who could be appearing, with the chance to win two weekend tickets to the festival.
Hints include “Multiple Bee Houses”, “Data and Marketing Association”, “Massive Natural Satellite” and more.
Postcard recipients have been having a go at guessing which acts the clues could be referring to, with some of the bands mentioned including local rockers The Sherlocks, The Kooks, DMAs and The Hives.

Tramlines fans won’t have long to wait before they find out whether their guesses were right, with the first line-up set to be announced at 6.00pm tomorrow (Tuesday 4 February).
Tickets for the festival are almost sold out, with Tier 6 tickets going on sale last week, ahead of the line-up announcement.
