Students at the University of Sheffield finished 12th in UK Movmeber rankings after raising over £70,000 for men’s mental health charity Movember, smashing previous £50,000 record.
Students smashed this year’s initial target and last year’s record of £50,000 during the third week of the event leading the university to increase the target to £65,000.
This was then broken as the university finished having raised a whopping £70,977 putting 12th overall in UK rankings and 5th in university rankings.

“We are incredibly proud and thankful to everyone who has got involved! Every effort, little or large, has played a massive part in the university’s fantastic effort this Movember.”
Over 920 students raised money for the charity, with many more growing a moustache in support.
A whopping 82 teams took part in the event with the university cricket team, coming out on top having raised £19,534 for the cause.
