Three Teenagers Dead in Fatal Car Crash

Two 19 year olds and an 18 year old have died in a crash on Sunday night in Rotherham after a car came off the road and hit a tree.

The Teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene, around 6.10 pm on Sunday night, after a white Ford Fiesta left Kiveton Park, near Todwick Court junction and collided with a tree, police have reported.

Local Councillor Dominic Beck said: “It’s just terrible and devastating to hear of the tragic loss of life of three young people. The whole community’s prayers, thoughts and love are with the families.”

Friends and relatives of the victims laid flowers at the scene of the crime with messages such as: “Such a nice lad who had so much to live for.”

Police have confirmed that the victims’ families have been informed of their deaths and are being supported by specialist officers.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “Please stay clear of the area this evening while emergency services clear out their work.”

Police have urged people with information to call 101, quoting the incident number 676 of October 24.
