Tuned In: new student-led charity festival coming to Sheffield

A new music festival organised by University of Sheffield students has been announced – Tuned In Festival is being held at Sidney & Matilda on the 24th of June in support of the Sarah Nulty Foundation.

The University of Sheffield’s Music Culture Society have put together a great line up of local Sheffield and Nottingham-based artists in conjunction with the Students’ Union’s Raising and Giving Team.

Nottingham-based up-and-comers Cucamaras and Leicestershire duo Vona Vella will headline the festival, with local Sheffield artists like Nervous Pills, workfriends, and Drastic//Automatic also performing over the course of the one-day festival. A total of 14 artists, spanning a wide range of musical genres, will perform across two stages at independent Sheffield music venue Sidney & Matilda.

All profits from the festival will go to the Sarah Nulty Power of Music Foundation, a Sheffield-based charity which exists to “celebrate and support people to experience the transformative power of music”. The charity was set up in memory of Sarah Nulty, the former Director of Tramlines festival and champion of the Sheffield music scene who sadly passed away.

Tickets are £10 and can be purchased from the Sheffield Students’ Union website: https://su.sheffield.ac.uk/events/id/4031-music-culture-society-presents:-tuned-in-festival/4165
