Candidates have been announced for the General Election, which takes place on Thursday 4 July.
Sheffield has six constituencies, five which fall completely within the city boundaries, and Penistone and Stocksbridge which covers the far north of Sheffield, as well as parts of Barnsley council area.

Polling stations will be open from 7:00am to 10:00pm on Thursday 4 July, and you can find out where to vote on your polling card which will be arriving over the next week. Alternatively, you can check online at https://wheredoivote.co.uk/
You do not need to bring your poll card along to vote in person, but you will need to take a valid form of photo ID in order to vote at a polling station. A list of allowed forms of identification is available at https://www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/photo-id-youll-need
