AGMs 2024: Medics’ Revue Elect 2024/25 Committee

The Sheffield Medics’ Revue society has announced their 2024/25 committee. Having held their AGM on April 15th, the society’s new committee members have been revealed for the next academic year, soon to take over from this year’s serving team.

Sheffield Medics’ Revue is a light entertainment society made up predominantly of medical students. The group regularly put on shows and events with singing, dancing and acting, all in a bid to raise money for charity. Their most recent production, Back to the Suture, played at Crookes Social Club in February.

Annual General Meetings (AGMs) are an annual event in each society’s calendar, when constitution changes are voted on and new committee members are elected. Should roles remain outstanding following an AGM, an EGM (Emergency General Meeting) can be scheduled to fill remaining roles. Each society has four core roles, namely President, Secretary, Treasurer and Welfare & Inclusions Officer, which must be filled in order for a society to continue activities into the next academic year.

The committee-elect for the 2024/25 academic year is as follows:

  • President ~ Max Preston (Formerly Publicity Officer, preceded by Paige)
  • Secretary ~ Luke Barnard (Formerly Charities Officer, preceded by Mark)
  • Treasurer ~ Paddy Raybould (Re-elected)
  • Welfare & Inclusions Officer ~ Sean Ashby (Preceded by Ella)
  • Charities Officer ~ Annie Smithson (Preceded by Luke Barnard)
  • Co-Social Secretary ~ Denya Williams-Goss (Re-elected)
  • Co-Social Secretary ~ Alice Wilkinson (Re-elected)
  • Publicity Officer ~ Lydia Ibbs (Preceded by Max Preston)
