Forge Press Arts & Theatre Editor Jasmine Pegg has been announced as one of two Entertainment Editors in this year’s Liberty Belle Magazine committee. Having joined Forge Press in April, Pegg has also found herself elected to the role in the magazine’s committee alongside former Arts & Theatre Editor Faith Suronku-Lindsay, who has been named as the group’s President and Editor-in-Chief.
Making the announcement on social media earlier today, the lifestyle magazine unveiled their new members, detailing their roles as “the people responsible for coming up with weekly article ideas, posting and managing all [of their] socials, and keeping the magazine running!”. The publication, which covers topics such as Health & Beauty, Fashion and Entertainment, has received national recognition in previous years, being shortlisted in the Best Website category of the Student Publication Association’s 2022 awards.
Annual General Meetings (AGMs) are an annual event in each society’s calendar, when constitution changes are voted on and new committee members are elected. Should roles remain outstanding following an AGM, an EGM (Emergency General Meeting) can be scheduled to fill remaining roles. Each society has four core roles, namely President, Secretary, Treasurer and Welfare & Inclusions Officer, which must be filled in order for a society to continue activities into the next academic year.
