SU announce 'Underpass' festival and first wave line up

The Students’ Union have announced Underpass, a new festival to be held in the SU along with the first wave of acts who will take to the stage in venues across the building and the surrounding area.
The festival, which was one of SU President Jake Verity’s manifesto policies, is to be held on Saturday 2 May.
The first wave of acts has also been announced with bands such as Sheffield locals The Seamonsters, indie legends Spector and rising stars Patawawa with indie pop five piece Fickle Friends due to top the bill in Foundry.
There will also be a dedicated Tuesday Club stage offering the best in underground dance music.
First tier tickets will go on sale today from the Foundry website and will be priced at £15, rising to £20 in tier 2 and £25 for tier 3 tickets.
Jake Verity said: “It’s pretty amazing to be announcing Underpass today. What once was a pipedream on my manifesto, is now a real event with some unbelievable musical acts coming to our very own SU.
“The Students’ Union has a long history of hosting legendary music acts including David Bowie, Talking Heads, and Florence and the Machine. Underpass is continuing that legacy and as you can see by the line-up, we’re not messing around! Make sure to get your ticket now for the best party the SU has ever seen.”
