University of Sheffield smash Hallam 7-0 in historic Steel City Darts victory

The University of Sheffield beat Sheffield Hallam University 7-0 in the inter-university Steel City Darts competition.

The event took place yesterday at the Octagon Arena. It was watched by both University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam students.

The win now means the Sheffield University Darts team have won the Steel City Darts competition 8 times in a row.

Jack Quinn won the first game of the night beating Olly Burgess of Hallam 3-2.

Zack Sefton and Thomas Halliday also beat their opposing Team Hallam players, Jack Clucas and Oliver Wilson, 3-2.

Matt Watts then ensured Team Sheffield’s win on the night beating Filip Brom 3 games to 1.

Luke Davies, Tom Jepson, and Lewis Forrest saw Hallam go home winless also beating their Team Hallam opponents 3 games to 1.

The last time the competition saw a similar score line was in 2015 when Sheffield Darts beat Hallam Darts 8-1.
