Jared O'Mara staff member quits in series of incendiary tweets

A member of Jared O’Mara’s constituency staff appears to have quit in a series of incendiary of tweets from the MP’s Twitter account.
O’Mara, the independent Member of Parliament for Sheffield Hallam, has drawn a controversial figure since his election in 2017.
Now, a member of his communications team called Gareth Arnold appears to have quit his job with the MP in a series of incredible tweets sent from O’Mara’s Twitter feed.
“Comms Team signing off…. Forever: Jared, you are the most disgustingly morally bankrupt person I have ever had the displeasure of working with. You do not care about your constituents. You do not care about anyone but yourself,” it started.
Six more tweets followed, detailing how Mr Thomas no longer wanted to “defend” O’Mara including calling him a series of expletives and calling on him to resign from his position as MP for Sheffield Hallam.
He signed off the thread with “consider this my resignation” and a link to his Twitter feed, accompanied by a GIF of Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner dropping an imaginary microphone on stage.
Both Gareth Thomas and Jared O’Mara have been approached for further comment, but had not responded at the time of publication. This article will be updated in due course.
